M ayor John Mutton, Members of Council, and Clarington Transit are pleased to announce that a full-fare integration agreement has now been reached with Whitby Transit. What does this mean to our passen : gers? It means that both Oshawa Transit and Whitby Transit will now accept Clarington Transit regular monthly passes or transfers. Of course this also means that Clarington Transit drivers will be happy to accept Oshawa and Whitby Transit regular monthly passes and transfers. Attention Pet Owners T o ensure the health and safety of Clarington residents and their pets, the Municipality has enacted the Responsible Pet Owners by-law 99-90 that requires; All residents must license their dog or cat annually. Licenses expire December 31, each year. The license is required to be affixed to the pet's collar. Lifetime licenses are available for pets that are sprayed or neutered, microchipped and have their rabies vaccines. Animals are not permitted to run at large or trespass within the Municipality of Clarington. When off the owner's property, pets must be under control on a leash. You are also required to stoop and scoop after your pet. Clarington pet owners are also held responsible if their pet is found to be making persistent noise that disturbs other residents. residents. There are also provisions in the by-law to require extra restraints on an animal that has an Order to Restrain issued following an attack or bite incident.
