Undefeated in league and postseason play heading into the provincial gold medal game against Humber College, the top-ranked Lords fell 3-1 to the third-seeded Hawks (25-17, 26- 28, 25-23, 25-13) Saturday and were forced to settle for silver. "These things happen," said head coach Stan Marchut. "We weren't too sharp. Basically our offence was predictable and they were there to slop us." As the provincial silver medallist, Durham will still advance advance to the national championships, championships, being hosted by Humber Humber March 11 to 13. "That's the one consolation," Marchut said. Marchut said he will use this week of practice to fine-tune his squad's game, particularly passing. passing.
