Five members had contributed multiple goals, including Jennifer Perrin, Karolyn Pasquet, Leah Higgins, Higgins, Krista Valikx and Chrissi Bas- tas. The team would be struggling without the midfield of Joanna Bas- tas, Taylor Farrell, Leah Higgins, Olivia Jenkins, Lauren Malcolm and Katelyn Sheppard. As well, the defence defence of Amy Crawford, Jessica Mc- Geough, Suzanne Pasquet and Kaylcen Peters have all contributed to the team. The new goalie is Katelin Dickson. CLARINGTON - Bowmanville #3 MDS Express played to a 2-2 tie against Bowmanville #2 Clarke's Custom Custom Carpentry at Green Park One of the highlights included Ty Smith stopping a penalty kick to keep MDS in the game. CLARINGTON - The Darlington ■. Strikers U9 rep soccer team is off to a flying start. The team has played in , three tournaments and four léague games and has a record of 13-3-2. The first tournament was in Whitby. The boys really came together as a team and won their first three games 2- 0,5-0 and 7-1. The championship game saw the Darlington team beat the home , Whitby team 2-0. The team travelled to Vaughan in early June for the second tournament. ,. : ,The Darlington Strikers beat North ... York 1-0 and Kleinburg 5-2 but lost 3- 2 to the Ajax Tornados. Despite the loss they advanced to the Sunday semifinals and beat Pickering 1-0. In the final game on Sunday against a strong Brampton team, Darlington came out ,,, on the losing end of the 4-0 score. ; In their own Darlington Invitational tournament the Strikers easily won their pool beating Ajax (6-2), York (5- 3), Pickering (3-1) and Kemptville (11- 0). Next the team faced Ajax United and i came away with a convincing 7-2 win. ' Scorers were Colby (2), Callum Smith . (2), B. Hoskin, Young and Ryan Walton. Walton. In the third league game against Pickering Darlington lost 2-1 with the lone goal scored by Smith. Game four saw the Strikers tie Ajax 2-2. The Strikers now have scored 66. goals with every team member contributing contributing offensively.
