I v U durhamrcgion.com Aviation Expo this weekend OSHAWA -- If it has wings and flies, you can bet it's at the Oshawa Municipal Airport this weekend as organizers are expecting more than 20,000 people to fly in and drive to the 13th annual Canadian Aviation Expo June 24,25 and 26. This year's expo takes flight with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, taking off from Oshawa Municipal Airport Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. The expo also features the Skyhawks, the Canadian Forces 15- member parachute team, which will jump during the opener Friday morning and as part of the daily air show throughout the weekend. The event gives avid aviators a chance to see -- up close -- more than 100 aircraft on display. There will also be 250 exhibi tors, aircraft and helicopter rides available and aerial demonstrations from I to 4 p.m. daily. All on-site parking is free. Fly-in admission admission rates are $10 for a pilot and passenger for the day, $17 for the weekend. Children under seven are free. Each includes a flight line pass allowing clearance to touch planes on the flight lines. If you drive to the event, an adult day pass is $15, with youth and seniors $10 each (a flight line pass is another $2). A weekend pass is $25 for adults, $20 for youth and seniors and free for children under the age of seven. All weekend passes include a flight line pass.
