The team closed out the season as A Finalists, Finalists, dropping a final 2-1 decision. So it should come as only a mild surprise that fourth-place Gus Brown Firebirds won the playoff championship, championship, edging seventh-place OMS Camaros 2-1 in the final game. Brian Legros and Jim Scott scored once each for the winners, while Matt Aikin finished off a remarkable season with an assist. He won both the regular season and playoff scoring titles and was named MVP. Mike Leonard scored for the Camaros. Camaros. In the league all-star game played a day after the final, Jeff Heimstra, Stephen Faith, Bob Stirling and Brian Goodwin scored in a 4-1 win for Blue over White. Steve Biersteker scored in defeat.
