With the team struggling to an 8-6 mark this season, a message that the lackluster and undisciplined play has to stop may be on its way., "We may have to shake things up," said Myra V 1st I /VM y Claringion Green Gaels at home Thursday vs. Huntsville (5-11), 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20 vs. Markham (8-7), 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22 vs. Halton Hills (9-7), 8 p.m. Atkinson. When pressed if that message would come in the form of a release, trade or healthy scratch, Atkinson noted that a trade or release isn't likely. That leaves a seat in the stands the only other option for some unsuspecting players. • That may happen as early as tomorrow night, when the Green Gaels host the 5-11 Huntsville Hawks at 8 p.m. at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex. The last time the teams met it resulted in the most lopsided loss to date this season, as the Green Gaels were embarrassed embarrassed 10-1. The memory of that loss still stings. "We're looking for some payback, definitely," definitely," said, Atkinson. "The last time we were in their bam it left a bad taste in our mouth. We want to rectify that situation and quiet down some of the naysayers." The Green Gaels came up empty on the weekend, dropping a 14-6 decision decision to the Barrie Tornado on Saturday night. A close game through the opening period turned in to a bit of a route for the home side through the final 40 minutes. "Things started to fall apart in the second second period because of stupid penalties, and then in the third it went from bad to worse," said Atkinson. "Barrie has the mental edge right now, and we are still trying to find ours." The undisciplined play is something that both Atkinson and coach Rick Phillips Phillips have eluded to at varying points-ip the season. In a couple of close losses-'tp teams with winning records, penalties at key times in the game have made the difference. "You can't retaliate every time you get pushed, shoved or cross checked," said Atkinson of the mounting frustration with having to play a man short with ÜK game on the line. Thursday's outing is the first of thjbe home games in a row for the Gredi Gaels, who host Markham on Tuesdefy and Halton Hills on Thursday, June 2Î!
