They started the year playing in the Milton Tournament where they faced Six Nations, Brampton and Guelph. The boys played well and managed to beat Brampton, but were defeated by Six Nations and Guelph. The second tournament of the season took place in Pickering in July. The boys began the tournament by defeating Whitby #3 on the opening night. The following day saw the boys matched up against Barrie where they were defeated. Their second game of the day resulted in a tie with Burlington #2. The team was defeated by Markham the following morning which meant they would be playing for the bronze medal. Clarington easily defeated Burlington in the championship game. After their success at this tournament, the boys were off to the Six Nations Tournament. They were victorious over all four competitors, advancing to the gold medal game, which provided. a rematch against Peterborough. The boys jumped to an early lead and played at the . top of their game to bring home the gold medal. The members of the team include: goalies Zack Hubbard and Taylor Welsh, Nick Kelly, Carson Gallagher, Gallagher, Garrett Wannack, Brady Kearnan, Bradley Lyons, Jordan Neuman, Milch- ■ ell DeGray, Trevor Kennedy, James Houston, Evan Young, Ethan Waflow, Trevor Blumbergs, Cameron Smith, Trent Swaine and Matthew Smith. The Tyke II Green Gaels are coached by Paul Neuman, Andrew Kennedy and Brad Lyons. Their manager is Paula Kearnan and their trainer is Brent Gallagher.
