In Lakeshore League play the Toros are ofl to a 4-0 start chalking up wins over the Whitby Wildcats 3-2, the Peterborough Peterborough Nationals 6-0, the Pickering Panthers 6-2 and the Oshawa Generals 2-1. It was launched in 1985 with the goal of raising US $120 million to immunize immunize the developing world's children against polio for five years. The PolioPlus fundrais- i ing campaign that concluded in 1988 raised a record US $220 million, and by .2005, Rotarians contributions to the global polio eradication effort approached US$425 million. Rotary Member Of The Month Kevin Anyan Kevin is the owner of King's Court Catering in Bow- manville with his wife Kathy. They currently operate the Tea Room at Parkwood Estate in Oshawa Oshawa and cater functions for the Town of Whitby, the Centennial Building, Heydenshore Pavillion as well as private functions all across Durham. Kevin has been a member of the Rotary Club of Bowman- ville for the past 12 years and is a Past President. He has also served on all of its various committees. committees.
