Houseplants should be watered only when the soil surface becomes dry. Too much water deprives plants of oxygen and causes rot, so a thorough watering once every six days is usually adequate. < -' u-i ded plants require less v :r than those in the sun, and recently pruned plants should be kept drier than normal until new growth develops. However, since everything a plant consumes is in liquid form, underwatering can be as harmful as overwatering. A sandy soil mixture causes plants to dry out faster than clay or peat mixtures, and the smaller the plant pot, the more frequently water is needed. When plants gorw rapidly or bloom, they also need more water. To prevent the development of mildew or rot, water plants early in the day, so they have a chance to dry out during warmer daylight daylight hours. Houseplants Can be a source of beauty and an interesting hobby for householders, householders, however, it can be discouraging when plants don't do well due to lack of or too much water, so if you keep the above points in mind, you will be more successful in growing your house plants.
