On Saturday the Eagles lost to Kingston 10-2 ebing out hit by Kingston 10-6. Kingston however came up with seven errors to Rendais three. Doug Taylor was the losing pitcher. Steve West doubled and singled in his four trips to bat with Jerry Thompson going one for three along with a walk. On Sunday the Eagles met Oshawa and were outscored 3-0 with Oshawa taking nine hits off B. McCullough. The three Oshawa runs were unearned. SECOND AT BARRIE Sunset Anne owned by D. Martin and Keith West finished second in Barrie recently. The drive was made by Doug Brown with the win going to Blossom Van in 2.09. TOOK TUESDAY WIN AT KAWARTHA Junior West driving Glenholme Joe took a win in the second feature of the night. The win went in 2.06.4 With Geisha Richelieu second and Paintmix third. In the third race of the card Ray Staples finished second with his own horse Phil Oakie with the win to Cahpel Lite, Doug Brown was fifth in the fifth race driving Bye Bye Maysmith while Junior West returned in the seventh to place third driving Ambro Pine. Junior on Thursday at the Kawartha picked up a further win this time driving Waybrook Debut in the eighth race. The win was in 2.05.1 paying 13.30, 6.30, 5.80. Striking Star was second and Keystone Vision third. On the same evening Derek Newman placed third driving Wil Lor Ben, his own horse. The win went to. Roannie Lad in 2.06.4. Friday evening in St Catherines Junior West won with Zorro Grattan. Satruday evening at the Kawartha Derek Newman took the second race driving Bae State Swinger with a time of 2.09. Stewart's Tartan was second and J. D. Glassford third. In the third race Keith West was in the money with a third place finish driving Hilltop Class. Second was Butternut Jet and in first place Omaha Anne. In the fourth race Junior West was third with Glenholme Joe while in the fifth brother Keith finished fifth driving Oval King. Keith was sixth in the seventh with Coboa Byrd. Gerald Robinson was second in.the eighth ace driving Roger Ringo with the win going to Mar's Abbe. Junior West :ompleted his week of racing with a win in the ninth race driving Lucky Streak for its fifth win of the season. Johnson of Orono was the champion tied with Tracy Millsori of Nèwtonville for the position. Darcy Huber and Charles Mercer were tied for the runner-up position. In the Boys 10 group Stephen Bob of Orono took the championship with Zake Zandervan of Lockharts as runner-up. The Kendal Public School excelled in both the 11 and 12 and over age groups with both championships championships and runners-up going to the school. In the grade 11 boys Bruce McLean was champion, Todd Haynes runner-up, runner-up, in Grade 12 Jim Moffatt was. the champion with DannyWager as runner- up. PENTATHALON CHAMPIONS Bruce McLean, Kendal, Sandra Williams, Orono, Shelly Shelly Pickering, Newcastle and Heather .
