The occasion was to celebrate the 90th birthday of Mrs. E. White (Alma). About seventy people dropped in to visit and wish Mrs. White a happy birthday. On Sunday, July 8th, we commemorate the existence of McCrea s Cemetery for 110 years The old church, built in 1882, was demolished last year, and the corner stone placed on a cement base with name plate above. We still have something to remind us of a well known landmark which endured for nearly a century. The cemetery property has been lovingly and carefully tended, and each year we hold an outdoor Decoration Service Service at 3:00 p.m. on the second Sunday in July. This year we are pleased to have as our guest speaker Rev. Basil, Long, the minister of Orono United Church. We are looking forward to special music provided by members of Pontypool United Church choir; also as a real treat singing by Lana Malcolm and Kevin Preston with their guitar accompaniment.
