Gathered together here at the first, second and third placé winners of the junior level of the Orono-Lockhart Project Fair. These students' projects were displayed at the Trent University Science Fair along with the other winners. Orono-Lockhart t in Project Fair The Orono-Lockhart Public Schools recently held a Project Project Fair which kept students, teachers, and parents quite mused during the afternoon „ ,jf March 31st. The Project Fair was co-ordinately organized between between the twin schools by Mr. Witheridge, vice-principal of Orono Public, and Mr. Mac- Ivor, tnce-principal of Lock-- hart Public. The fair was organized to coincide with the Trent University Science Fair and project winners displayed displayed their projects at this fair which was held Saturday, 1 April 11th. All winners received received stickers for their efforts and also certificates during a school assembly. The projects consisted of two levels of competition', primary and junior, with a choice of three areas in each level which the students could enter. Each level consisted of: a literary area where students could illustrate a book they had read ; a general area where students could put up displays, collections, and interest topics; and an experiment experiment area in which students had to demonstrate the principles principles of their experiment. Judges for the project fair were picked from our community community and schools in the surrounding area. The judges worked in teams of two and used a score sheet to aid in the judgement of. projects. Judges for the Orono section section were: Madeleine Hadley, Mary Bunting, Mrs. Greenwood, Greenwood, Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Roy, Mrs. Lois Brown, and Mrs. Gilbank. For the Lockhart Lockhart section, judges were: Mr. Ron Moore, principal of Bowmanville Senior Public,. Mr. Fred Mandryk, staff member of Bowmanville Senior Senior Public, and Mr. John Reid, principal of Orono- Lockhart. Public- Schools.
