This past weekend "the unknown septic" gave us a kickback - but, as with the other storms, we weathered this one too. Once again 1 was touched on how wonderful people are here in our village. I had made several phone calls, attempting to find out any information on previous owners to learn about the precise location of our tank - everybody was so kind and helpful. A trip for a dip was in order, so we headed out to Welcome, to Beverley Park. They were all smiles. The grass, soft between their toes and that cool mud - yes mud, felt wonderful in the hot July sun. You will recall last Friday morning, morning, brought in under fog, later almost illuminated trees, bushes and fences covered with ice, which shimmered in the February sunlight. Quite beautiful! Then Saturday came, positively miserable. 1 was up Crooked Creek way and found alot of flooding and slippery sections. Old Man Winter boldly reminded us what this winter season is all about when he ended the weekend with plunging temperatures and burr - biting winds. Hoorahs to Brian Orser in his Silver performance in Men's Figure Skating. To Karen Percy who captured captured a Bronze in the Women's Downhill and to Michelle McKen- dry of Orangeville, Ontario who finished a proud 4th in Sunday's Women's Combined Downhill.
