Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir half the flour mixture into batter, mixing well. Stir in milk; add remaining flour mixture. Batter will be quite stiff. Bake in 375°F oven 30 to 35 minutes or . until cake is golden brown and tester inserted at centre comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes; invert plate over pan and turn out cake. Serve Warm or cold.
