Trent offering Academic Sessions, Oshawa For the first time, Trent Universi-' ty will offer a three-month academic session in Oshawa beginning beginning this January 1990. f The session will begin January 29th aftd run until May 1. Four introductory introductory courses will be offered through Durham College in: Economics 100; English 105, Psychology 101 and Sociology 100. Each course will meet two evenings a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. Thursday. • The new session will be of interest to secondary school students who graduate in January as well as anyone wishing to begin part-time study at Trent. The session \Vas created in response to the growing number of Ontario high schools using using the semester system, and the new Ontario academic credit system. Because of these changes many grade 13 students are able to com-, plete high school in January. These students will now be able to begin taking university courses six months earlier than in the past.
