The Stutt's Novice hockey team will have to play the third game in a best two out of three' with Rose Valley Homes. The first game was played on Thursday. From the get go, it did not look good for Stutt's. Rose Valley scored early in the first period and again before the clock was set for the second. Rose Valley was playing like a team, pass- Stutt's Salutes Theo DeVries 1st league game goal of the season ing to each other and skating quickly and powerfully. Orono players, on the other hand, were playing like little robins trying to find their own worms, instead of swooping down like a battalion of army jets in constant contact with each other. By mid game the score was 3-0 for Bowmanville, but the fans were in for a surprise! With less than two minutes left in the second, Brandon Cox, at center, accepted a pass from defenseman Cory Weiss. Cox moved quickly getting a breakaway and slapping the puck into the net. That goal triggered a change in the team and they all started playing like pros. A minute later Fabricus tried the same stunt, but got stuck by the boards on the left side of the net. He managed to fling the puck across the ice to where first year player Theo DeVries was waiting to hammer it in! It was DeVries' first league game goal and it earned a huge, toothy, smile and a ATTENTION: Pontypool Mens' Lob Ball League Needs Men... 19 years and over for good times on Sunday afternoons at Pontypool Park Sign ip in Draft is April 21 at 1:00pm Scenic 18 Holes -Par 70 Quiet Country Setting GENERAL INQUIRIES 905-987-4851 ~ Interac ~ SEASON PASSES DAILY TEE TIMES 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE • m 905-987-5186 Cl«fk« Con. 3 (3km TJ oc Newcastle 2 Hwy.2 3 u (King St.) ft Hwy.401 • Exit 440 PAY AS YOU PLAY RATES WEEKEND MIDWEEK 18 Holes $30.00 $27.00 9 Holes $22.00 $19.00 Twilight - 4:30 PM (Sept. 4 PM)-9 Hole Soft Spikes - Dress Code 2429 Golf Course Rd.
