Loyal Oranye Parade Members of the County Lodge of Toronto also participated in Saturday's Parade. The Orange order was named after King William III and we celebrate the 12th of July as the Anniversary of his victory over James II at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland. This ended a military military campaign (now known as The Glorious Revolution) that left William III and Mary the undisputed monarchs of Great Britain, securing several rights that had not been enjoyed there for many years, such as Freedom of Religion, and Freedom of the Press, they also instituted the first bill of rights and established established the Parliamentary system of government as we know it today.
