Just two and a half minutes into the first period Polymer Extrusions got on the scoreboard with Kohl Smith feeding a pass to Mitchell Jackson who found the mesh. With both goalies being on top of their game, Orono came out of the first with a 1-0 lead. In the second peri od Jacob Dolley got loose on a breakaway and scored the eventual game winner, beating' the Mechanics goal- tender. Before the period period was over, Master Mechanic kept the game in reach by scoring their only goal and closing the gap to 2-1. Once again the defense held fast in front of goalie Evan Rosseau. While killing a penalty Tyler Rich went up ice to score a shorthanded goal in the third to give Polymer Extrusions a 3- 1 lead. Corey Peeters put the game out of reach with a goal late in the third period. While Polymer Extrusions Extrusions forward line of Tyler Balson, Cavan Willsie and Robert Herr did not make it onto the score sheet, they had their best game and unfortunately they were unable to cash in on several several great opportunities that they had made for themselves.
