Rickard family enjoys 70th annual picnic by Wendy Trineer-Rickard The 70th annual Rickard Family Picnic was enjoyed by 69 descendants Sunday, August 10, 2003 on the spacious spacious grounds of Brenton and Jean Rickard of Newcastle. After the singing of grace lead by Country Four member member Glen Allin, everyone enjoyed a bountiful lunch with background music from a "Country Four" cassette. President David Werry of Port Perry welcomed everyone everyone . as we observed a moments silence for relatives relatives who passed away this past year. Robin Rickard awarded the "Special Prizes": most grandchildren went to Jean Rickard with 11 grandchil dren. Don Richard wore the longest belt. Newly married Andrew Rickard had the most keys on his key ring - 13. "Judge Judy" Powell decided it was Stan Allin who had the largest face on his watch, and Patrick Vandenberg had the most buttons on his clothing at 21. The Canadian Quiz was won by David and Marilyn Werry. Second place winner was Bruce Allin. The Brain Storming Quiz was won by Kiri Allin. Bingo winners were Sara Tosswill, Patrick Vandenberg, Bryon Allin and Douglas Hockin.
