Orono Weeklv Times. Wednesday, January 21,2004 - 6 Realtor's Midget team brings home a tournament victory The Royal Lepage Midget squad has been busy with league games and a Tournament in Port Hope. The Port Hope tournament was just before Christmas on December 21st. The first game was played against the Port Hope team at 8:00 a.m. Port Hope was the dominant team and won, 6-2. Port Hope slipped two by the Orono netminder each period. Orono's two points were from Justin Westerink and Scott Henderson, both assists came from Cam Richardson. The second game of the tournament tournament was a nail-biter from start to finish. Orono was up against TSC from Clarington. The game ended in a 2-2 tie, and a shoot out followed. Cam Richardson and Scott Henderson managed the twin points of the game assisted by Cam Delorme and Adam Wood. The second goal came up from Kyle Johnston. TSC walked away the winner of the shoot out. Both netminders were awesome. awesome. Alex Hart, being in net for Orono, let the only puck by, out of the 10 shots on the goals. The third game for Orono was against the home team Port Hope. This time Orono skated away the winner taking home the "B" championship award with a 5-3 victory. Adam Wood earned his first hat trick of the season and Cam Delorme picked up the remaining remaining two points for Orono. Assists went to Cam Richardson, Mike Howe, Justin Westerink and Scott Henderson. Orono's first game of 2004 was played in Courtice against Ryan Realty. Orono's goalie, Alex Hart, came within 30 seconds of a shut-out. Orono had control of the game from start to finish with five pucks finding the back of the Ryan Realty net. Cam Richardson, earned one point and Matt Wong-Fong and Scott Henderson earned two points each. Goals were assisted assisted by Tyler Skelton, Adam Wood, and Scott Henderson. Final score of the game was 5- 1 for Orono. Royal Lepage's second game of the 2004 season was a match against another Orono team. Orono's Cam Richardson scored first single-handed for Charlie Reid Realty. Clock time: 4:01 in the second peri od. Village Bakery answered with a goal of their own VA minutes into the third period. Tension was high on the bench and in the stands with the score tied up at 1-1. At the 6 minute mark Justin Westerink found the right spot to score, assisted by Cam Richardson up from Adam Wood. On January 11 the Orono squad made their way to Courtice once again, this time playing TD Canada Trust. The Orono team was a little light on the bench with only seven skaters. The Orono players players put up a good fight managing managing the first point of the game at the 12:30 mark of the first period. Adam Wood assisted by Matt Wong-Fong. Stutt's faced Beaverton for game 1 and skated away with a 5-4 win. Jessica Moore, Storm Wolla, Cavan Willsie and Connor Macvarish (2) scored our goals. Scoring the lone goal for Orono was Tyson Robinson on a nice backhand assisted by Zachary Gibson.
