In the first game -- led by goaltender Cooper Phillips and defense Chris Third, Chris Austin, Daniel Owens, Jack Kingston and Elizabeth Jackson -- Orono earned another shutout, 5-0 against Hepcoc. In the second game against Noble Trade both goalies played excellent games with Orono coming out on the losing losing end of a 3-2 decision. Goals scored by Connor Whitley. The first game against Hanc's was a closely matched exciting game that ended 3-2 for Orono. Ryan Skillen opened the scoring in the first period, assisted by Stosh Fabricus. A few minutes later, Fabricus zoomed up the side boards with the puck. When the defense pounced on him, he slapped a pass to Derek Snow in front of the net. Game three was a clash of the two Orono Atom teams, The Wooden Carousel and The Apple Blossom team. Benjamin Hinchey filled in between the pipes for the game and was superb in his first playoff start. Wooden Carousel built a 3-0 lead by the end of the first period on goals by Jacob Dolley and a pair by Matthew Howe. The Apple Blossom team got back into the game in the second second period with two quick goals by Cody Earners and Ryan Pratt. That was as close as they got as Carousel put the game out ol rcaeh with a pair of goals in the third period period by Dolley and Jonathan Austin to make it 5-2. Assisting on the goals were Austin, Dolley, lylcr Rich, Tyler Baison, Brianna Robinson and Joshua Canfield. -byU.M. seconds left in the first period, scored on the Orono net. In the second, goalie Andrew Gilbank was determined determined not to let another shot in, and he had to work hard, even saving what looked like a sure shot to the top left corner.
