PARVANEH PESSIAN ppessian@durhamregion.com BROOKLIN -- A local park will receive a much-needed retrofit as part of the Town of Whitby's efforts to address residents' requests for adequate playground facilities. Duggan Park, near Anderson Street and Winchester Road East in Brooklin, will see its equipment replaced and updated this year. "We feel that given the fact that we have 553 homes in the neighbourhood with an additional 39 homes about to be built by Golden Falcon Homes, and the fact that we have no senior play structure south of Winchester and very much a great need for additional swings, this recommendation supports what the neighbourhood has asked for," said resident Ijade Maxwell Rodrigues.
