The visitors won by a score of 6- 4; but that score does not tell the story of the game. The first period stood 1-0 in favor of Port Perry, and of course the local enthusiasm bubbled. In the second period the score was 8 all and you 'ean imagine the inter- «estof -all- the spectators. The "third period was another tie, the score being 4 all. Next came the play off and after five minutes each way the score was still 'a tie, so that there was nothing for it but to play another overtime period. Rundle, whose maiden name was Maria Cooliddge, died at her home in Port Perry, on Monday, February 5, 1923. She was born in Darlington Township January 21st, 1841, being 82 years of age at the time of her death. Mrs. Rundle lived on the Darlington farm until her marriage to W. H. Rundle, on January 1st, 1868. Mr. and Mrs. Rundle then moved to the Rundle homestead at Pinedale, and lived there for-a few years. . They next moved to the farm at Sgnya where they resided until they came to Port Perry some thirteen. years ago. Six children survive their mother; and mourn her loss. They are Mrs. Geo. Basingthwaite, of Hannah, Ni Dakota; Mrs, Geo. West of Ashburn, Wa F. Rundle, of Edmonton, J. w. Rundle of Edmonton, C. A. Rundle and Miss Bertha M. Rundle, both of Port Perry. Mr. W. H. Rundle pre- deceased his wife some two years ago. Deceased devoted her whole life, (which was one of industry and ser- | vice) to her family. Mrs. Rundle was very fond of her garden and her recreation was among her flowers, The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. T. Hall, owing to the ill- ness of Rev. Mr. Harrison, and was largely attended. Interment took place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Donald. Anderson did somé bril- liant work in the goal, and saved his team many times during the game. Our hockey team met their Water- loo last Friday night, when Nestle- ton played the return game and won by a score of 10-5, The February meeting of the Vie- toria Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. John Wright, on Wednesday afternoon of last week. The attendance was smaller on ac- count of so much illness in the neighbourhood. The following pro- gram was rendered, community sing- ing, instrumental by Miss Florrie Parr; reading by Miss Margaret Swain; paper on "Motherhood and Mother Love" by our president Mrs, J. Everest. Lunch was served as usual. On Wednesday evening the con- 'gregation of St. John's 'Church met together to say farewell to their rector, Rev. W. Scott and: his family, also to present Mr Scott with a hand- some club bag and Mrs. Scott with a_ beautiful pair of Australian wool blankets and an envelope of money.
