Mr. W. Henry Wilson visited his 'daughter Mrs. W. English, of Manilla, last week. Mr, Jim Lawrence spent last week with his brother in Lindsay. Master Leister Beadle met with a painful accident on Friday night while he and Master John Maw were going down Mr. J. Johnson's hill west of the village on the same wheel. Some ob- struction got in the front wheel and both boys were thrown violently on the roadbed. Leister received such painful lacerations to his face and head that it necessitated seven stitches, while Maw escaped with minor injuries. It is quite fortunate that they escaped without having fractured bones. Arbor day was held at the school ~ Wesley Boynton, Port Perry.
