Mr. Brown explained the purpose of the feast--to show appreciation for the many kindnesses he had received from those present, particularly since the death of Mrs. Brown. Not being in a position to entertain his guests in his own home, he enlisted the ser- vices of the Women's Association; assumed all expenses, and the result B% | Ves a delightful dinner, exceedingly cooked, and very thoroughly enjoyed.
