This percentage now stands at around 80%. The fact that a goodly number of individual hog raisers.can and do get 60% to 80% select suggested a reso- lution to this effect "that a County Census of outstanding Hog Farmers be made with a view to locating, if possible, the most prolific strains of pigs as well as those furnishing the highest percentage of selects, and that following the completion of this Cen: sus that a circular be prepared and forwarded to every farmer in the County. * A list of those so far compiled is given below. The parties from Little Britain who figured in a motor accident south of the village about three weeks ago, do not seem to be doing much motoring this season as their car is still parked in a farmer's yard where it was towed off the highway. The annual congregational meeting was held last week, with Rev. Mr. Totton presiding. Reports from the treasurers of the different depart- ments were given and with one ex- ception there was a balance on hand, after stipend and all other expenses were paid, notwithstanding, the fact that there was a great deal of extra expense this year with the new fur- nace and re-building the church chim- ney. There are fifty-eight resident members on the roll and sixteen non- resident members. During the year there has been some active workers removed by death and otherwise. After the election of officers plans were made 'to do greater work this coming year. The church is the most valuable asset of any community and it behooves every citizen to take a greater interest in it. Mr, Jack Banks of Prospect, called on friends here last week. Jack is now nearly fully recovered from the serious accident he had last June, and expects to return-to his home in Eng- land shortly.
