Sweetman, Mrs, Eyden and Mrs. A. McKenzie were the judges. The Centre members won the prize in the copper contest, $10.30 was col- lected and the Captains Mrs. Hardy and Mrs, Burnham wish to thank their helpers. The program put on by the Girls' Institute consisted of a' demon- stration on quilt blocks of print but- terflies, buttonhole stitched on a white background. Mrs. Geo. Milner one day last week, All the friends of Mrs. Milner are sorry to hear she is not gaining in health as fast as they would wish. The Scugog Blue Wings gave a party in the Township Hall last Fri- day night to help raise funds to pay for their hockey outfits. A large num- ber of friends came out to help and all had an enjoyable time. Mr. Clarence Carter visited his friend Milton Dears on Sunday.
