Stoner has returned to Toronto after spending the winter in Port Perry. We regret to hear that Miss Dorothy Davey was in an automobile accident near Newmarket. The marriage to take place the last of June. Softball News The Softball League met at Myrtle on Friday evening, May 26th, and the following officers were elected: President--Chas. Reesor, Port Perry 1st Vice President--Anson Gerrow 2nd Vice Pres.--Lawrence Mountjoy. Sec'y-Treas.--Arnold Roach. As only four teams are entered this year a double schedule was adopted. The teams are more evenly matched so better games are anticipated. As there is a softball league com- posed of Uxbridge, Stouffville, Mark- ham and Claremont, operating this year, arrangements are under way to play off with the winners of this league. The following changes and rules were adopted: 1. That the League name be changed to the Ontario-Durham Soft- ball League. 2. The Ontario Official Rule Book, 1933 Edition, is to govern. 3. Seven innings be maximum and five innings be minimum for league games. Nine innings maximum and seven innings minimum for play-off games, 4. All league games to start at|§ 6.30 E.S.T. Teams are allowed to start short of players rather than de- | § lay a game. 5. Each Club must supply Umpire. Home umpire to start game behind the plate, visiting umpire on bases. Umpires to change each inning. 6. A protest fee of $2 must ac- Hi company each protest, and will be re- funded if protest is allowed, but re- tained if protest is not allowed. 7. The league supply umpires and balls for play-off games and to re-}§ ceive the collections. 8. Each club allowed fifteen play- ers. Players from other softball leagues are barred. 9.
