In Mite action June 24, J.C. defeated London Life Lazers 22-17. Jared Robert hit a home run for London Life and both teams tumed in fine efforts. Jordan Cully Jays doubled up IGA 15-8 with Kyle McLurg. Tyler Lucas had a two run double and Miranda Burgess hit a triple. Nick Malcolm had fine hitting with an RBI homer and a triple. For Port Perry IGA Jeremy J. pitched well and Holly Westall was strong in the field. Tim and Mike both made good plays at first base. In Squirt action, Don Frew and Sons defeated Speedy Muffler 2.19 Muirhead also played very well with a homer apd a triple. On Juned 23, Technique Drywall and MKM Eggbeaters played to a 24-24 draw and it was a great &ffort by all. In senior action, Blackstock Hardware just edged Blackstock Lions 13-12. For Hargware, Blaine Pelrine hit two triples, Kingsley Malcolm and Derek Malcolgh had homers. Some fine catches wefe made by Marshal Mcquade, Kingsley Malcolm, Scout Malcolm, Matt Bradburn, and Ryan Peter with three. For the Lions, Jeremy Maciolm and Eric Russel had doubles with Scott Nesbitt belting a triple. Ryan Larmer had two fine caches, and Shane Escou with one. & SHADES Marks Maintenance def BAckhoe 13-9 with Bostelman and Jonathon McCourt pitching well for the winners. Peter also cranked a grand slam homer. Scoring two runs each were Melissa Donnelly, Jeff Balser, Lioyd Shaddock and Jim Chapman. Scout Goble was strong pitching for Goble and Ben Humphrey and A.G. Kiley made some great catches. June 29 action in t-ball saw the Wright Sox nip Lishmans 24-21 with special effort by Jennifer Morrison, Kristy Popowich, Jason Dillon, Taylor Churchill snd else. H and M started the' game with Blake McLaughlin scoring three runs on a triple. Jesse Mullins hit a double and a home run, Mitch Truax hit a home run in the 4th. On July 1, Lioness was defeated 21-19 by H and M Wright with J.C Flooring celebrated July 1 with a 28-10 win over IGA as Joey Shombrae hit a homer and Brian Wonnacott a double. Daryl Dean hit three homers and Carla hit a triple. Good catches by Luke and Ashleigh. For IGA, Daryl hit a homer, Steven made a fine out at home and David a line drive. Jordan Cully Jays clipped the Life Lazers 18-15 in an excel- lent game by both teams. Kyle McClurg laced three home runs and made a great catch. Strong pitching from Danny Deeth while Joey Miranda Burgess and Mike McNeal hit a double. Susie Gerrow, and Joey both hit home runs. Chris Pottery made a nice play at first and chipped in with a round tripper as well. London Life got some fine pitching by Mike Sonne. The team turned seven doubles and two triples. Travis Hazelton caught the game winning ball on a fine effort. For Speedy, there were six dou- bles and three triples, but everyone had some fun. In senior action, Marks Maintenance defeated Lions 12-8 (sorry, no details) Blackstock Hardware went down to defeat 18-8 © Cummings Backhoe. For the Hardware, Leanne Goslin and Marshal McQuade hit doubles with some fine catches by Josh Malcolm, Kingsley and Derek Malcolm. For Cummings, doubles came off the bats of Dustin Mamoch, A G. Riel, William Michel, Scott Goble and Al Richmond. Scott and Alan also hit home runs. MITES BASEBALL There was lots of action June 29 at thd Comish fields as Pizza Delight and Van Camp Contracting faced off for the second time this season in Mite Softball action. Both teams had full squads out for this one and it was an evenly matched game. Van Camp started off with their bats in action and took a 10-7 lead after three innings. But the Pizza gang started to turn things around with strong hitting in the Sth and 6th innings, and at the same time shut down the Van Camp machine for a close 13-10 victory. Nathaniel Knopp had two hits and a run, Chelsea Wilson a hit and a run, stephen Groves 3 hits and a run, for the Pizza team. Brennan Ballagh had a double and a run and a fine caich; Jessica Goreski 2 hits and a run and Nicole Goreski a hit and & run for Van Camp's attack. All the players turned in a fine game and deserve a round of applause. Schild Machining and the Courell Cuspids were also in action June 29 with the Machinists coming away with an 11-5 win. Jordan Froats made a double and David Akermanis was strong on first for Schildt's. For the Cuspids, Jessica Templeman and Lisa Geer each had good hits and Nicole Curran tuned a great play at first base. Seagrave defeated Brians Towing on Canada 10-1 with Greg Manns driving in the only run for Brians. Tyler Houthuys made a fine double play to end the game. T-BALL ACTION The R.H. Cornish School yard becomes a field of dreams every Tuesday night as the super stars of tomorrow ad included Justin Cottrell, Brooke "Connor. For the Muffler crew, Jennifer Corbett, The other Junior League action was just as exciting with the Spitfires in high gear against Port Perry General Store. Three aces for the Spitfires were Jessica, Spence, Caitlin Baker and Michael Redmgn. For the General Store, some of the best that night were Ryan Mowat, John March and Krysta Leigh Johnston. One thing is for cer- tain that every night, the kids + will come to the field and work on their "dreams."
