The team this year is made up of eight second year tweens, two first year tweens and two first year players. Diane Vanderligt playing only her second game in goal continues to improve. Brad lewis netted two goals withe the help from Adam Musson, Luke Akey, and Jay Marquis. Jay Marquis also netted the first goal with help from Peter Schoep. Dave Watt scored the second, assisted by James Fagan. Then R.J. Lee scored unassisted between Lewis's double action to wrap up the game. Peterborough attempted to get revenge on the Wolves on October 18, but were denied! The final score was 4-1 with Brad Lewis, Jay Marquis, James Fagan, and Aaron Finn rounding out the scoring. Assists were made by Jason Jackman, Dave Watt, Andrew Ferguson, and Matt Morris. Steve Thomas earned his shut-out October 24 at Darlington, vs Kingston; the only team to previously beat the Wolves in league action. The Wolves played tight defence and Dave Watt, Chris Duggan, and James Fagan raked in the goals with Fagan also assisting along with Jason Jackman, and Adam Musson. Finally, on October 26, vs. Oshawa at the Donevan Sports Complex, the Wolves dominated winning 4-1. ATTENTION SNOWMOBILERS & INTERESTED SNOWMOBILERS On Novernber 14th & 15th the Port Perry Snowmobile Club will hold its First Snowmobile & Winter Clothing Sale. Guardian Drugs Guardian Drugs Tween "A's" travelled to Pickering to play their second game of the season. Pickering was on the score board in the first three minutes. But Port Guardian Drugs came back within seconds to even the match. Scoring for Port was Shona Moase assisted 'by Dana Hooker. The ring went end to .end with many scoring opportunities for both teams. Again Pickering took the lead, but Port came back seconds later to tie it at 2-2, When Shona passed up to Dana, Dana's shot was a pass meant for Shona but it slid by her and the ring dribbled right through the goalies legs. In the second period Natasha Burgess fought the ring out of the corner getting her first goal for the Tween "A's"! Pickering came back to tie the game once more. With :34 seconds left in the game Cara Vander Slagt fed a nice pass to Shona with the scoring touch giving Port Guardian Drugs the win 4-3. Katie Senyk helped by making many good saves to keep us there. Good defence was played by Bonni-Jo Norton, Jana Senyk, and Brook Shanley. There were many good passes by Jennie Hammond, Laura Hooker, and Heather Treadway. Bantam #1 The Country Style Donuts - Bantam #1 team travelled to Whitby last Monday evening to meet this team for the second time this season. Port hit the ice with a positive attitude and winning on their minds. Ian McCready found the corner following a nice pass from Jeremy Geer at 7:19 of the first period. Only a few minutes later, Jason Logan slipped one by the Whitby goalie with the assist going to Ian Shrigley. The second period belonged to Whitby as Port remained scoreless "and Whitby came back to tie the game. Port took the lead again in the third period when Ian Shrigley, assisted by Jay King beat the Whitby goalie for goal # 3. Things looked good for Port until Whitby scored at 1:33 of the third and the game ended in a 3-3 tie. Everyone put forth a good effort in this game and that's what counts. Good work between the pipes Brian. On Wednesday evening the Bantam #1 team travelled to Port Hope. This reporter was not in attendance but according to several eye witness reports from the game our boys seemed confused at this one. They were in fact on the ice but «. enough said.
