[] Curling tension builds With only one week left in regular league play an exciting finish is in the offing. Peter Luckhardt chalked up his first win of the post Christmas schedule to knock off league leader Keith VanCamp six to four by stealing the sixth and seventh ends of a closely fought battle. Keith would have been a shoo in for first place otherwise. - This now ties him with Merlin Suggitt who licked Cam Porter eight to three and Richard VanCamp who had to tussle Gerald Kelly to the ground in a tie breaker to take the points. This leaves a three way tie for first and second place. Although it is too late for Porter, Kelly, and Luckhardt to take enough points to win they can sure spoil it for the other leaders by defeating them on March 8. It should be an exciting end to regular league play. =p" Scugog Citizen -- Tuesday, March 9, 1993-- 27 4 Cougar of the Week March 16 will be a scramble night. Each team will be playing two six end games and total points will decide the winner. The prize selection should be a stimulus to all, to give that little extra. There will also be a button draw contest that all may enter. Standings to March 1: Suggitt - 3 wins; R. VanCamp - 3 wins; K. VanCamp - 3 wins; Porter - 1 win; Kelly - 1 win; Luckhardt - 1 win. Congratulations to this week's special cougar - Andrea Edgar. Andrea consistently puts forth a first class effort in all school activities.
