When I hear the word Easter I think and I'm sure a lot of other people think of bunnies, chocolate bunnies, waking up and looking for candy and many others. But that's not what the date Easter really means. O.K. you can do a bit of celabrating and stuff like that, but think of the real reason Easter is Easter. If you don't know I'll tell you. It's because Jesus, God's son died and raised from the dead for our sins. Think about it. I like the part when you can look for eggs and eat lots of chocolate. Oh and I like the part when you go to your Grandmother's and visit relatives. But the most important part is that Jesus died for our sins. It's not just eating chocolate and visit people and to go to your Grandmother's. It's that you know Jesus died for our sins. " By: Michael Sytsma Grade 4, Scugog Christian School Easter Easter is mostly choclate bunnies, candy eggs and candy hunts. But wait, aren't we forgetting something, the true meaning of Easter? Are we getting so wrapped up in candy and hunts that we're forgetting God's way of having Easter? Just think, a happy family eating dinner together, and having fun, thanking the Lord for what they have. That's what I call a happy Easter. By: Faith Michel Grade 4, Scugog Christian School What Easter Means To Me What Easter means to me is that Jesus died for us on Good Friday and rose again on Easter Sunday. It means that Jesus died on the cross to save all of our sins and he arose again to go back to heaven with his father. Some people think that Easter is for bunnies and chocolate and eggs. But it's not, it's about the love of Jesus and that he died for our sins.
