The Association is offering mixed softball for players between 5 and 18 years, mixed hardball for players between 9 and 18, and there will be one Rep team for boys in the 13-14 year age bracket. At this point the league is anticipating a total of 28 teams, up by 10 teams from last year. The softball teams will play within the Cartwright area parks, while the hardball teams will play as a part of the Scugog Baseball Association. The Cartwright hardball teams will play half their games in Cartwright, and the other half in Port Perry. As of this news release, there were 4 positions open for T- Ball(5-6 years), 16 for Tyke (7- 8 years), 8 for Mite (9-10 years), 6 for Squirt (11-12 years) and 10 for Senior (13 and up) in the softball league. Then divide Ward 2 in half, giving consideration to further population growth in the two new Wards. An illustration of this proposed change is available from the Township Offices. The purpose is to abolish the Area Councillor seat (Township wide) and create.a new Ward.
