Ladies Scramble There were 36 golfers in the Ladies Opening Scramble at Crestwood Golf Club and they had a most enjoyable day, as playing conditions were nearly @ perfect under warm sunny skies. The ladies &o ed a delicious lunch and then ® the general meeting which followed, These members of the Novice Eaglettes Ringette team received medals from the Port Perry Kinsmen for their great participation in the Kin Skate-a-thon held in March. It was tiie Kinsmen Club's way of saying thanks for their efforts. The Skate-a-thon raised $1500, and a portion was turned over to ringette. The girls are from left Alaina Davis, Stacy Cunningham, Kristen Waller, Jill Pashley and Jackie Pashley. In the back are Kin members Steve Cunningham and Mike Duck. Win for Perfect Heating by Judy MacSween As convenor I would like to welcome all coaches and players to the Youth Boys 1993 Minor Softball season. We will be playing every Tuesday at S.A. Cawker and Greenbank diamonds between 6:30 and 8:00. Coaches are Gord Bird for Port Perry Auto Glass, Wayne Smith for Pineridge Spi Brian Langford for Lake Scugog Lumber and Judy MacSween for Perfect Heating Co. Ltd.. Umpires are Todd Smart at S.A. Cawker and Bob Jamieson at Greenbank. There were only 41 players registered in Port Perry who were born between 1979 and 1982 whith is an age difference but in order for the boys to play ball it was necessary to combine them. Greenbank has 13 players born between 1980 and 1982. The first game of the season was held May 11 in Greenbank where Perfect Heating hosted a game against Port Perry Auto Glass. Both teams played excellent baseball even though they only had one practice.
