Alice White and J.J. Lee, beth grade 13 students recently completed & floor-to-ceiling wall mural in the Books Galor® book shop in Port Perry. The mural, painted in acrylics, shows a rain forest with numerous animals, birds and reptiles. It's on a wall in the area of the store where childrens books are sold. Baoks Galore owner Jéan Lorish said she approached the school last fall with the idea.of having students create a rain forest mural. Alice and J.J. went to work of the painting last October, working whgn their time permitted. They finally finished the project this spring, each* putting 100-hours work into it.
