3 Plans unveiled for 96 team 'mega-tournament'. Plans for a 96-team slo pitch tournament in Scugog Township next July were unveiled in front of the Township's Parks and Recreation committee Monday morning. The tournament, named the "Fields of Dreams," is desigged to raise money for lights at the new baseball diamonds behind the Scugog Arena. And the proposal got a warm reception for the Park and Rec i "This is exciting. It could. be a good thing economically for the Township and if it becomes an annual affair it would be a good fund raiser for new capital projects," said committee chairman Marilyn Pearce after hearing the proposal from Doug Dempsey and Randy Hathaway of the Scugog Mens Slo Pitch League and Minor Softball past president Carolyn Best.
