dist. Scouts honour Huggins with Medal of Merit A man who never was a Scout has received one of the highest awards in the Scouting movement. AY Huggins of Port Perry was presented the Scout Medal of Merit by Pine Ridge District Commissioner Ross Taylor at a ceremony held at the Scout Hall 17. °° The medal recognizes "outstanding service beyond the normal commitments to scouting. Mr. Huggins, who first became involved in scouting back in 1960, has worked as a leader, a members of the C ittee, insi of Pine Ridge District and president of the same District. Mr. Huggins expects to be retiring from his job at General Motors some time in the next year.
