Flooring 12 - Lishman"s 2 Jamie Newman and Mark Carnaghan led the Floorer's to their first victory. Newman had two hits as well as pitching three strong innings striking out six while Carnaghan continued his home run per game pace with another round tripper. Mike Hobbs collected two hits for Lishman's while Hayley Campbell hit a single. MITES Ash/Embers Flames 17 Carpet Warehouse 15 In a closely played game the Flames eeked out a two run victory. Alex Dejong played a. strong defensive game for Ash/Embers catching two fly balls. Robert Larmer spearheaded Carpet Warehouse with a home run. Martyn Consulting 19 Blackstock Lions 13 Home runs by Michael Marsh, Bradley Sutcliffe and Chris Goble led the Consulting team to victory. SQUIRT Nestleton Country Store 16 - Antrim House 8 An all around team effort evened the Country Store's record at 1-1 while the antrim team fell to 0-2. John Vanstrien led the Nestleton team with a home run and a triple. Michelle Blundon aided the cause with an excellent night with two triples and an excellent catch. Other offensive stars were Aaron Warren with three singles, Christine Davey with two singles, Holly Bartley, Alicia Burgess and Luc Wilson all with a double each. SENIORS Don Frew and Sons 8 - Blackstock Hardware 4 A total team effort led the Frew Crew to their first win - eight singles and four doubles led the offense with fine fielding plays made by Alex Upton, Ryan Peters, Stefanie Shortridge and Richard Frew. Allan Richmond led Blackstoc Williams and Amanda Richmond. H & M Wright Sox defeated Port Perry IGA - no game report submitted. Raglan Industries 11 Videorama 0 Jamie Lowe, A.G. Klei and Johnathon McCourt combined on a two hit shutout retiring 13 batters by strike outs. Kirk Swain and Eric Hudson led the offense with two hits and two runs each. Durham Pharmacy 18 - London Life Lazers 16 Home field proved no advantage as the Lazers lost a close two run battle. Mike Sonne pitched well as well as getting three walks as a hitter. Other hits came from the bats of Matt Welts, Joey Lane, Bradley Sutcliffe, Kurtis Wager, Jason Michel, Evan Jones and Mike Thompson. The fielding play of the game for London Life was made by Kurtis Wager. Kain VanAasten led the Port Perry team offensively with two singles. Excellent pitching by Darcy Stephens, Tom Kittle, Greg Hunter and Jordan Froats kept the Blackstock offense at bay. Defensively, Andy Drebit made an excellent single-handed double play at second base early in the game.
