The piper, Peter Irwin, played an exquisite "Amazing Grace" at the conclusion The bride, resplendent in an elegant flowing silk gown and glittering tiara carried a bouquet of white roses and camila lilies She was escorted by Patricia Sividinski. Mr. Philip Thurtle accompanied the groom About 100 family and friends attended the gala wedding They came from India, California, New York, Quebec, the Maritimes and other parts of Canada and the U.S Dinner was served at the PA. There were 11 bands and other guest artists present to entertain and all funds were tumed over to the foundation in memory of musician Larry Dee. Run for Terry September 18 Local organizers of the Port Perry Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research plan to make this an event everyone can participate in You can walk, run, bike a 1,5, or 10 kilometre route through Port Perry starting at the Palmer Park, Sunday September 18 at 9 am. After the event, a barbecue and entertainment will take place in Palmer Park for all participants to enjoy. Young, older, families, sports and interest groups as well as serious runners are all being encouraged to come out and participate, anyway they'd like, for a good cause Scugog residents interested in participating in the run can find sponsor sheets at the Library, all Port Perry banks and surrounding village general stores.
