The MoJacks got both those ingredients in their home opener Sunday night at the Scugog Arena as they white- washed Georgina Ice 3-0. Rick Hutchinson turned aside 25 shots in the MoJack cage to get the shut-out. And he had lots of help in front of him as well, with the MoJacks doing a good job of keeping the Ice attackers off balance. Rookie Mike Pigeau got the lone MoJack goal late in the opening period on the power play as he was set up by veteran Todd Dennis. After a scoreless second frame in which Ice netminder Brian Hoult made several impressive stops, MoJacks netted two in the final five minutes of .the game to cement the.victory. Todd Stirling made it 2-0 at the 15 minute mark with an assist from veteran Keith Leslie, and three minutes later, Ian Titterton found the range with help from Dennis who picked up his second point of the evening. ~This was a chippy game in Colin Dodd represented Mother Jackson's for the ceremonial first face-off Sunday night at the Scugog Arena as the Port Perry MoJacks started another Junior C Hockey season. Next outing for the MoJacks in this young Junior C season will be this coming Friday night when they hit the road to Lakefield for an encounter with the Chiefs. And on Sunday night (Oct. 9) they are back on home ice at the Scugog Arena to meet arch-rival Uxbridge Bruins for a 7:00 PM face off.
