The closest game of the afternoon was the first one as the Blackstock Brewers blanked The Framer's Gallery 1-0. The lone marker came early in the opening period when Tom Wotten banged in a shot with the assists going to Ron Short and Scott MacLennan. Both teams had ample opportunity to put more in but fell short. In the dying ts Blackstock received a penalty, and with the Framer goalie out for the extra attacker The Pineridge Sports Shop has moved from Queen Street to 1894 Scugog In the Port Perry Plaza. An official opening and ribbon cutting was held at the shop recently with Mayor Howard Hall doing the honours. Trader's replied shortly thereafter with one of their own from the stick of Brad Maarse aided by Charlie Dennis B&R scored two more from Pomeroy and Mole with Jason Price drawing an assist prior to the end of the opening period. The Mixed Baseball A 4 (MBA) nd up its first season with a final tournament played recently at the Scugog Centre Fields.
