LETTERS TO THE EDITOR " Scicgoa Cifzen ~Tuerday, November 8. 1957 78 a Educators are doing the best job they can To the Editor: I just thought I would speak my mind in response to Mr. Mothersill's letter in the Scugog Citizen November 1. Who is there to give you a hand? You know as well as I do. The teachers! In regards to them teaching us alternate lifestyles and New Age Propaganda, more power to them. Without the information they provide us with, we might wander down the dark road of stereotypical discrimination against the minorities of the country: homosexuals and lesbians, blacks, Asians, aboriginals, Jews, Hindus, or whatever. What's wrong with being gay? Po you have an answer? Is it un- natural? Is it wrong? Why is it wrong? People seem to fear differences and it is only by introducing them to alternate lifestyles (not making them pick that lifestyle) that they, the students, can fully comprehend the issue at hand.
