Victorian Christmas coming to Scugog Museum Picture this: you're sitting ddwn at the dinner table with your friends and family. You have a wonderful 3 course meal while listening to Christmas Carols in the background. When you finish eating you join __ogether to sing a few carols. Just as the Christmas spirit begins to warm your heart you begin a beautiful walking tour of the old-fashioned village. You arrive at a home built in the 1800's. A woman greéts you at the door and invites you in to savour the smell of hot apple cider and gingerbread men baking in the wood stove. The woman tells you about Christmas in days gone by and offers you a taste of her baking. After a tour of her home you wave goodbye and walk to the school house where you see a wonderful display of winter clothing from the 1800's and many artifacts which were once used during winter past times Does this sound tempting? This year Scugog Shores Museum Village can make this picture come true. On Dec. 3rd and 4th the museum is holding a Victorian Christmas Dinner and Candlelight Tour beginning at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to experience an old-fashioned Christmas Tickets are available at Scugog Shores Museum or at the Chamber of Commerce in Downtown Port Perry.
