She Is shown with her lastest work 'Night Vision. See story below. Local store features work of famed wildlife artist Debi Fitzgerald, a self-taught Canadian artist who has painted professionally for 20 years, was a guest over the weekend at Native Perspectives. Her career started with pet portraits, then branched out to the study of rural country scenes and landscapes. Today she is a committed wildlife artist, with emphasis on the larger mammals - moose, polar bear and her favourite, the wolf. Fitzgerald's commitment to wildlife goes beyond the canvas. 'She contributes to and has raised substantial sums for conservation groups such as the Endangered Animal Sanctuary; Save the Manatee; and the Ministry of Natural Resources. Recently Ducks Unlimited awarded the talented artist a life-size bronze waterfowl sculpture for her outstanding contributions to waterfowl conservation. Fitzgerald believes in the native philosophies and their connection to nature. John Beaver, father of native artist Rick Beaver, was her spiritual mentor for a number of years before he died. The artist works from her studio at Young's Point, and her art is currently on display and for-sale at the Native Perspec- tives store in Port Perry. esos id users hou gi covery Wok wa yp ae Q. Learning new tasks and assuming responsibilities can produce feelings of anger, resentment, frustration and despair. If we continue t¢ think of these jobs as "his" work we will likely be defeated. Try to change 3 way you approach the tasks. Accept learning new things as opportunities to broaden complete a job. *Questions from bereavement classes are answered here by the editor of AfterLoss, the monthly Bisipsovery help letter.
