"Our pledge is to provide good service at competitive prices and have a large assortment of products for our customers," Chuck said over the weekend as he and Marj held 'open house' at the new business. "If we don't have (an item) in stock, we'll do our, best to get it for r Citizen's Christmas C the customer," he said. As the name of the business suggests, archery and fishing gear are the mainstays with the store carrying most well known rods and reels, artificial baits of all kinds and a variety of live baits. In the archery department, there are cross bows, compound bows, re-curves and long bows. As well, arrows can be custom-made right in the premises. Chuck said that with the government bringing down more gun control laws, archery is growing in popularity and there are starter sets for the youngsters. As well, the store will be working with gold medal archer Jack Chapman on safety and We invite all children up to the age of 10 to participate in our 1994 Christmas Colouring Contest. One prize will be awarded to each age category : Ages 4 and Under; 5 to 7 Years; 8 to 10 Years. Deadline for contest entries will be noon on Friday, December 16th, 1994. Winners will be chosen Friday afternoon, December 16th and notified by telephone. Judges' decision will be final olouring Contest instructional seminars both indoors and outdoors when the weather is fine. With the ice fishing season set to open on Scugog January 1, JD stocks black and pearl dace minnows, emerald and gold shiners.
