Memorable Christmas by Marion King Scugog Township This memorable Christmas took place at my son John's home on Pondtail Street in Oshawa, John was well aware this would probably be his last Christmas and I firmly believe most of his efforts to make it a lovely time for his family came from sheer will-power rather than any physical capability left to him. He was released from Oshawa Hospital about three weeks before but had to go, for Chemotherapy each week. His first preparation for 'Christmas was to go to his sister-in-law's and have his head shaved because he had lost almost all his hair. He dropped in on his way home to let me see him rather than have me surprised later. We had a terrible snowfall all the days before Christmas and John shovelled all the paths himself, decorated the place just beautifully, went Christmas shopping, especially enjoying buying for his little grandson, Joshua. He purchased chocolate gimmicks for all the adults and really made a genuine effort to make Christmas the joyful season it should be. On our family day, everything was kept in a beautiful, merry mood, no sadness apparent, and what a Christmas it was with laughter, gifts and little Joshua to be petted and pampered by everyone. Truly, it will always be a memorable Christmas for our whole family and while it was John's last Christmas, it was one of the best, most enjoyed Christmas' we have ever had. good things for It's That Time Of Year Everybody here is really up for a terrific time with friends and family. And we hope the =eason brings nothing but you Our valued customers! THOMAS OVERHEAD DOORS Dale and Jeanette (905) 985-0732
