Last week, 29 of the geese returned to Nestleton without the leadership of the ultralight aircraft after wintering in-8outh Carolina. J, These geese are part of research projects into the rer establishment of migratory routes of certain waterfow! being conducted by Operation Migration. The arrival of these particular geese proves that the imprinting process applied to these birds from the time of hatching works. On October 11, 1994, Bill Lishman and Joe Duff took off in their ultralight aircraft from Nestleton, Ontario with 38 Canada geese. Six days and 400 miles later, they arrived at Airlie Center in Warrenton, Virginia. Borelians will hold auditions he Borelians Community Theatre group will be holding auditions this month for the hilarious comedy "Sinners," which will be staged in July at Town Hall 1878 in Port Perry. Producer Dave Ellis and director Ed Daigle extend invitations to all interested people to audition on Thursday, April 27 at 7:30 PM and on Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 PM. Both auditions will be held at the Prince Albert Community, 19 Jeffrey St. in Prince Albert. The roles call for three males and three females over 30 years of age. The Gala recognizes students who have put so much work and effort into these four nights. The awards were handed out by Katie Talbot, a former student of Port Perry High School and a veteran of the drama department. s The Merit, Awards of Excellence were as follows: For writing - Doug Taylor; For Performance - Melissa Vaughn; For Performance - Robin Butler and the entire cast of Heat Lightning. Erin Chellew and Kyle Brough won award for best actress and best actor. "The Friendly Rival" won for best play and Erin Chellew and Ryan Edgar were named best directors. Six students who are graduating this year were also recognized for their contribution to the Drama department.
