Chief Richard Miller said the alarm was turned in just before 3:00 AM by the owner of the cottage who had been sleeping in a guest house on the property on Coleman Crescent. He said the single storey cottage, built in 1927, was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived on the scene. Officials have estimated damage to the cottage and contents at about $110,000.
