Based on the number of students and staff at PPHS, council believes the school is about 56 parking spaces short of what it'needs. Council has suggested that the Board of Education create more spots with a new parking lot on the south side of MacDonald Street. Council also wants the school to do away of the policy of designating parking spets to staff and students. If they pay the fee, they should be allowed to park anywhere. + Residents who live on streets surrounding the school have complained bitterly about the congestion and parked vehicles. Some are now appealing their assessments to have their taxes lowered because of the inconvenience.
