[Clef ETle} SEAT BELTS SAVE ~- Scugog Citizen -- Tuesday, June 27, 1995 -- 25 Pe | Taylor Ford Mites earn win with strong seventh inning Stouffville came to town on the first day, of summer to meet our Taylor-Ford Mercury Mites. A solid pitching effort and complete game by Shane Jeffrey produced this young team's first win. ! Jeff Corbett and Mike Lycett spelled each other at catcher making big plays for needed outs. The strong arms of Peter Jones and Leo Taillon threw out runners like they had on cement shoes. | * Darryl Copithorn's consistent glove at 1st wasn't his only contribution as he went 3 for 3 in the lead-off position. Terry Daly and Justin Koury showed more confidence at the plate and were rewarded with nice hits. Taylor-Ford Mercury were trailing going into the 7th but matched the inning number with the same number of hits and allowed Stouffville only one run which sealed Port Perry's win: It was great fun to win but the Taylor Ford Mercury players are enjoying themselves no matter what the score book says. Good effort Ashley, Chris, Steve, Andrew, and Keith. (elo | N [el] Rup lll] 2 Great Nights at the Lied Vlclolcy V2], ).Y Admission $10 ~~ Tickets at the door.
